Hi everyone!
My name is Florianë (flurry-on) Shala and I am currently a 4th year student in the Health Information Science program at UVic. I am super excited to be graduating very soon and I hope someday in the future I’ll be able to get my Masters and Phd in possibly Health Informatics or another field I discover. My research interests include telehealth/virtual health in rural communities, human aspects of health information systems and the use of AI in healthcare. I’ve been on 2 co-ops, my first one was at Interior Health Authority in Kelowna which was one of the best Summers I’ve had and the second one was a the BC Ministry of Health here in Victoria. Some of my professional goals after I graduate include working in Kosovo (where my parents are from and is located in Eastern Europe) to help boost the healthcare system there and I also aspire to become a CEO of a cool and fun healthcare IT company someday here in Canada. A fun fact about me is that I love anything that has PB in it 🙂
